With a history dating back to 1903, Harry A. Nauman & Son has been an important part of the Sacramento community for more than a century. Harry A. Nauman founded our funeral home on dignity, honor, respect, and service excellence, values that continue to guide us today.
We are a full-service funeral home with a large formal chapel that accommodates up to 225 guests, as well as a smaller chapel for more intimate gatherings of up to 40. Our reception room welcomes up to 70 family members and friends for catered receptions and celebrations of life. We take pride in creating meaningful experiences that reflect the wishes, traditions, and unique stories of the families we serve.
At Harry A. Nauman & Son, we help families create personalized services that honor the individuality of each life and provide opportunities for remembrance, connection, and healing. We offer a wide range of options, including celebration of life services, military and veterans funerals, memorial services, cremation, graveside services, church services, catering, and transportation or shipping services.
Our commitment to care extends beyond the service itself. We recognize that grief impacts every member of a family, including children, and that support needs often continue long after the funeral has ended. Through our partnership with the National Alliance for Children's Grief (NACG), we offer complimentary children's grief resources and can help connect families with local grief support organizations throughout the Sacramento region.
Families who choose Harry A. Nauman & Son also receive access to Dignity Memorial's Compassion Helpline, a confidential support service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 13 months following a loss. Staffed by trained grief counselors, the helpline provides emotional support, guidance, and referrals when they are needed most.
